I am sure that if we all started learning with memory palaces from young age, we would need only 100 loci for everything we want to learn, it would be like, normal, maybe something like photographic memory, we would be extremely fast and effective. It will be in you normal memory, and memory palace is then just a booster if you forget something, just think where it was, what was there according to the topic you want to remember and the picture come up, even though there are multiple topics on the same item/locus.īut for stuff for university, I don`t reuse, that is fixed and I make new palace specific for chapters I want to learn. But review is important, if you review enough, you will know stuff, no matter you had different topics on the same locus. After few days of reviewing the stuff regularly, then I can start again from room 1 and reuse the same loci. You start with room 1 and memorize locus by locus. From that 8 rooms I use and reuse 4 of them for now, and have many things memorized on that 4 rooms/60 loci. That palace have 15 loci per room, and currently have 8 rooms, and I am expending it. With a memory palace at the ready and an essay plan created, it is now up to the imagination to forge some long-lasting links. Here is an essay plan for the 10 mark question Evaluate the fight or flight response. For example, in the same room I remember some news stuff, then something about cosmetic through history, 20 most painfully diseases, and Sopranos characters, I watch the show at the moment ( which is great by the way). The trick is to use a memory palace, with a healthy dose of imagination, to remember their plans with ease. I reuse just one of them, it is palace for every day stuff, for news I read and want to remember.
